The Queen’s Commonwealth Writing Competition 2026 is now officially closed! A heartfelt thank you to all our entrants, as well as the teachers and youth leaders who inspired young people in their networks to get involved. We are grateful to everyone who participated and congratulate all our entrants on their involvement in this year’s competition!

This year marks an exciting new chapter in the competition’s history, with its rebrand representing an important evolution and a move towards a more inclusive, regional approach, while continuing to champion the power of young voices across the Commonwealth.

To our five wonderful winners, we look forward to welcoming you to London later this year!
